Accessing the Preferences Page

The Preferences page enables you to define and store an address book of email addresses for use when creating quotes, set email notifications, and customize Disti lists. This is a long topic because it describes how fill out the Preferences page from top to bottom.

Adding Entries to the Address Book (CURRENTLY DEACTIVATED)

Note: The Disti Role Address Book functionality is currently deactivated for improvements, and will be re-activated in 2011.

The Address Book section of the Preferences page enables you to add email addresses to an address book, which can be used to populate the Contact Name and Contact E-Mail fields in the Confirm Disti Information section when creating a quote.

Step Actions

From the Preferences page, go to the Address Book section.

Click the View/Edit List button to open the Address Book page.

Click the Add button. The address will appear in the Address Book.

Enter the contact's first name, last name, and email address, and click the OK button.

To add more names to the Address Book, repeat steps 3-5. You can remove addresses by clicking the Remove button.

Click the Save button to return the Preferences page.

Setting Email Notification Preferences

The Email Notifications section of the Preferences page enables WebQuote to send email notifications whenever a quote enters one or more statuses.

Step Actions

From the Preferences page, in the Email Notifications section, in the Step 1 - Input the Email Address(s) section, click in the To: field.

Enter one or more email addresses, using commas to separate multiple email addresses. Optionally, enter email addresses into the CC: field

In the Step 2a - Select e-mail notifications to be received from the list of notifications generated below section, all statuses are checked as a default. Remove the check from any status(es) for which you do not to send email notifications.

In the Step 2b - Set the frequency of when the selected mails should be sent section, default setting is HOURLY. To send the email notifications immediately, click the IMMEDIATE radio button.

Click the Save button at the bottom of the form.

Assigning Branches

The Branches section of the Preferences page enables you to assign yourself to a branch or branches.

Step Actions

From the Preferences page, go to the Branches section.

In the Available Branches box, elect the desired branch(es) to be included. (One popular method to select multiple items is to press the Ctrl key and click each desired Disti with the mouse).

Click the >> to copy the branches to the Selected Branches box.

Click the Save button at the bottom of the form.
