A Budgetary Pricing quote is slightly different from the other quotes. The submitter does not have to be totally accurate in the details that they give, such as the Sales Out From and To period. Therefore, a Budgetary Pricing quote is treated as a request for estimated pricing for forecasted product needs in which no DPA# will be awarded.
Here are a few points to note when marking a quote as Budgetary Pricing:
Upon selecting the Budgetary Pricing radio button, the DPA# field ceases to be editable, as this is not required.
The Valid From Date must be a date in the future: If a past date is entered then an error message will appear.
Explanatory Comments will be automatically populated into the External Comments section, which describe what the Budgetary Pricing quote response from Intel represents.
Once the quote is saved as Budgetary Pricing, the fields will be non-editable for the Disti in which they will be unable to resubmit this request (to raise the request again they will have to clone the budgetary pricing quote as a new RFQ). Also Intel will be unable to change their action once the quote is saved, but the quote detail fields will still remain editable.
NOTE: The system will automatically close a Budgetary Pricing quote after 30 days, but this does not reflect the actually expiry of this quote, which may be greater than 30 days according to Geo Rules.
