A Request for Quote (RFQ) is a web-based form that you, as a distributor, submit to Intel through WebQuote to request a special price quote. The form on the Add Opportunity page is used to create the two types of RFQs:
To create a quote having only one line item, proceed with the instructions on this page.
To create a quote having two or more line items, proceed with the instructions on the Creating and Submitting a Multiline Quote page.

From the WebQuote Home page, do one of the following to open the Add Opportunity page:

In the Confirm Disti information section, most of the information will be pre-populated.

In the Enter Quote Details section, click the Quote Type drop-down list and select the quote type. If you select the Design Win Meet Competition or Meet Competition Quote Types, a Questionnaire link will appear above the Quote Type drop down list. Click the Questionnaire link to display the EID Meet Competition Questionnaire. Fill out the questionnaire and click Submit to return to the quote. |

In the Enter Customer Information section, be sure at least to fill all fields that have asterisks. For example, the Customer Type, Customer Name, and Customer Country fields. Available Customer Types:
If you select United States as the
Customer Country, the Customer US State field becomes
mandatory. |

In the Add Product Details section, enter the information about the product. The mandatory fields are MM Number, Sales Out (From), Sales Out (To), Quantity, and Target Cost. Use one of the following methods to enter the Intel Part Number or Intel Part #:

If you get an MMID Invalid popup when trying to create a quote using what is known to be an existing MMID, it might be in a Status, Product Visibility, or Custom Indicator setting for which a quote cannot be created. For example, you cannot create quotes against products that have a Product Visibility = H (Hide) or Custom Indicator = Y. To determine the current settings for the MMID, do the following:

In the Competitive Information section, the Competitor Name, Part, and Buying Price fields are mandatory if you had selected the Meet Competition or Non-IA Tender quote types. |

In the Comments section, you can enter comments which can be seen by all WebQuote users. (It is also possible to enter comments after the quote has been submitted.) |

If the Target Cost is determined to be higher than the Base Disti Cost, a popup window will appear. Click the OK button, then adjust the price and click the Submit button again. |

The submitted quote will now have a Quote ID, displayed in the upper left of the Quote Information field. At this point you can click the Return button to go to the Quote list. |
