WebQuote Home Page

The WebQuote Home Page appears when you log into WebQuote. From the WebQuote Home Page, you can access the functions necessary for performing all WebQuote tasks, including creating, viewing, and approving quotes.

Left Navigation:

  • Quoting

    • Home: Opens the WebQuote Main page. Begins a search according to the settings in the Filter By section.

    • Quote List: Opens the Quote List

    • Add Quote: Opens the Add Opportunity page, providing the capability to create a new quote.

    • Add Multiline Quote: Opens a dialog requesting the number of line items for the new quote, then opens the Add Opportunity page.

    • Batch Update DPAs: Opens the Batch Update DPAs page, providing the capability to update quantity and/or expiration date.

    • Customize Quote List: Opens the Customize Your Quote List page, providing the capability to create, modify and delete search views.

    • Preferences: Opens the Preferences page, providing the capability to create and modify email address book and notification options, as well as the capability to customize the Disti list.

    • View Archived Data: Opens the Intel Archive Home page, making it possible to view WebQuote records that have been archived.

  • Tools

    • Product Tree: Opens the Product Tree window for locating products according to their hierarchy in the product list

    • Product Search: Opens the Product Search window for locating products according to letters or numbers entered as search criteria.

Menu Bar: Identifies the named search currently being used. Other searches are accessible from the drop-down list:

  • Intel® Business Portal: Opens the Intel® Business Portal Home page.

  • Status Descriptions Link: Opens the Status Descriptions popup window.

  • Support Link: Opens a popup window containing information for contacting Support, as well as user credentials

  • Training Link: Opens a page having links to training materials.

Login/Role Identifier: Identifies the name and role of the user who is logged into WebQuote.

Quick ID Search: Makes it possible to enter a DPA number, Opportunity ID or RFQ ID and open it directly.

Log Out Button: Logs out of WebQuote.

Main Window Links: These five links open the Add Opportunity page for single line quotes, a dialog requesting the number of line items for a new multiline quote, the Quote List, training materials, and the Batch Update DPAs page, respectively.

Timestamp/Role Identifier: Identifies the Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) when the page was opened or last refreshed, as well as the role of the person logged into WebQuote.

Version Identifier: Identifies the version of WebQuote.

Preferences Page

The Preferences page provides the capability to define and store an Address Book of email addresses for use when creating quotes, set email notifications, and specify other settings. It is accessed from the Preferences link in the left nav.

Item Description

View/Edit List button: provides the capability to add email addresses to an address book, which can be used to populate the Contact Name and Contact E-Mail fields in the Confirm Disti Information section when creating a quote

Input Email Addresses: For entering email address to which email notifications whenever a quote enters one or more specified statuses.

c

Email Notification Statuses: lists the specific statuses that will cause email notifications to be sent. All are checked as a default.

d

Email Notification Frequency: Determines if the email notifications are to be sent immediately or hourly.

e

Assign Branches: Provides the capability to assign oneself to a branch or branches.

Save button: Saves the changes made to the Preferences page.

Customize Quote List Page

The Customize Quote List page provides the capability to create new views for the Quote List, set sorting priorities, determine the maximum number of items displayed per page and so on. Other than submitting new quotes, most of the activities that you perform within WebQuote will occur within the Quote List. For this reason, you can customize the Quote List to your work style and preferences.

Item Description

Name fields and buttons: Provides the capability to create, delete and save views.

b

Import/export field and buttons: Provides the capability to import and export views in .xml format.

c

Details: Defines the number of items displayed per page. The default is 25, but can be set to 50, 75 and 100 also.

Default Saved Quote List check box: Defines the displayed view as the default view.

e

Available Fields: Displays the fields that can be added to the view, with the arrow buttons.

Selected Fields: Displays the fields that have been added to the view. The column position (top=left) can be modified using the buttons.

Sorting fields and buttons: Defines the sort order, according to first, second and third priorities...in ascending or descending order.

h

Filter fields: Defines the filters that can be applied to the view.

Add Search Results boxes: Provides the capability to "join" to other searches by filling the check box. For example, when using the Spain_customer search, filling the MM_907K_plus and clicking the Search button will cause the search to look for quotes where the Customer Country is Spain or the MM Number is greater than/equal to 90700.

Include Archives check box: Provides the capability (by checking the box) to include archived quotes in the search, which can be identified by the Comment field entry of Archived.

Preview Results button: Displays the current settings of the view in the Quote List. (This does NOT save the settings.)

Quote List Page

The Quote List provides the capability to locate quotes, and includes filtering and sorting functions. Rows are shaded by color according to the corresponding line item's status.

Current Search drop down list: Identifies the named search currently being used. Other searches are accessible from the drop-down list.

Quick Search box and Delete Search button: Makes it possible to enter an Opportunity ID or RFQ ID and open it directly, or delete the current search.

View Quotes For list: Provides the capability to display your own quotes, quotes of other Distis for whom you have been granted delegate access, FSE quotes, and all quotes for which you have permissions.

Filter By section: Provides the capability to filter by fields/attributes, qualifier and criteria.

Search buttons:

  • Search: Begins a search according to the settings in the Filter By section.

  • Save Search: Saves the current search under the name in the Current Search section.

  • Clear Filters: Removes the filter values in the Filter By section but does not reset the results.

  • Reset: Removes the filter values in the Filter By section and resets the results.

Add Search Results boxes: Provides the capability to "join" to other searches by filling the check box. For example, filling the MM_907K_plus and clicking the Search button will cause the search to look for quotes where the Customer Country is Canada or the MM Number is greater than/equal to 90700.

Export and DPQ Accept buttons: Contains buttons for exporting the current page to a Microsoft® Excel® spreadsheet and (after checking the DPQ Accept boxes in the list) accept DPQs submitted by the Geo. (Also displayed at the bottom of the list.)

Page Navigation buttons, lines/page display setting and page number indicator: From left to right, VCR-type buttons for viewing the first, previous, next and last pages of the RFQs in the view, number of the page currently displayed, a drop down list to select 25 (default), 50, 75, or 100 lines to be displayed per page, and a drop down list to select desired page number. (The VCR-type buttons and the page number indicator are also displayed beneath the list.)

Include Archives check box: Provides the capability (by checking the box) to include archived quotes in the search, which can be identified by the Comment field entry of Archived.

Quote List Headers: Displays the Quote List fields as column heading, as defined in the Preferences page. Clicking a column heading will cause the page to be sorted up/down according to that column.

Opportunity ID link: Opens the selected opportunity in Opportunity View.

Details button: Opens the selected opportunity in RFQ View. (Also displayed on the right edge of the list.)

Clone Opp button: Clones all lines of a quote.

n

Clone Line button: Clones a one-line quote or an individual line of a multi-line quote.

Add Opportunity Page - Single Line Quote

The Add Opportunity page is used by Disti and FSE users to create and submit RFQs. The single line Add Opportunity page is accessed via the Add Quote link in the left nav.

Confirm Disti Information section: Defines information about the Disti, including Name, country, Sold To Number. and email address. Much of this information is pre-populated.

Enter Customer Information section: Defines information about the customer, such as customer type, name, country, program membership number, as well as any end customer information.

Add Product Details Section: Defines the product, by Intel Part Number, MM number, quantity, sales to/from dates, base Disti cost and target cost.

Competitive Information section: Defines competitive information for the specified part (Entries are mandatory here for Non-IA-Tender and Meet Competition type quotes).

Comments section: Provides the capability to attach comments to the quote.

Legal Notice, Submit/Draft buttons: Displays legal information pertaining to the quote, as well as saving the quote request as a draft, adding lines to the quote request, removing lines from the quote request, and submitting the quote request.

Submit/Draft buttons: Provides the capability to save the quote request as a draft, add lines to the quote request, remove lines from the quote request, and submit the quote request.

Add Opportunity Page - Multiline Line Quote

The Add Opportunity page is used by Disti and FSE users to create and submit RFQs . The Multiline Add Opportunity page, used to create a quote with two or more items, is accessed via the Add Multiline Quote link in the left nav.

Batch Update DPAs Page

The Batch Update DPAs page provides Geo Approver and Disti users with the capability to update the quantity and/or DPA Expiry Date for up to 500 quote line items that are in the DPQ open - Pending Intel review >and DPA open - Created in SAP statuses all at once. The information may be copied directly into the form, or pasted from a Microsoft® Excel®l spreadsheet. It is possible to request an update to the quantity, DPA Expiry Date, or both.

Extra Quantity column: Defines the extra quantity requested for the DPA.

New DPA Expiry Date column: Establishes the new expiry date for the DPA

Disti Comments column: Provides the capability to enter comments that can be viewed by all WebQuote users who have rights to view the quote(s).

Upload Button: Uploads the form to WebQuote.
